Baty Elementary School was awarded $1,000 from the St. David’s Foundation for 100 percent return rate from the student dental treatment consent form, which resulted in 267 students receiving free dental treatment totaling $215,581.
The St. David’s Foundation provides free dental treatment to Central Texas Title 1 schools via their mobile dental program. Any school that returns 100 percent of student’s dental treatment consent forms will be awarded $1,000 to their school, respectfully. Additionally, any teacher that returns 100 percent of their class’ consent forms will receive a $20 Target gift card.
“Over the years, The St. David’s Foundation has partnered with Baty and all Del Valle ISD elementary schools, and the community has valued their commitment to our students and families,” said Jennifer Garcia, principal for Baty Elementary School. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student with a new sense of confidence after visiting the dental van.”
