(DEL VALLE, Texas) – Del Valle ISD received back-to-school supplies from United Airlines on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Del Valle ISD Opportunity Center to distribute among all 15 DVISD schools.

United Airlines representatives from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) donated school supplies that included backpacks, pencils, pens, notebooks, binders, tennis shoes, colors, markers, pencil/pen boxes, glue and calculators suitable for all grade levels.

Roseann Bray, United Airlines customer service supervisor at ABIA, said the best part about contributing to the Del Valle ISD community is because United Airlines employees embrace and support local school districts and contribute to the education cause.

“All United employees have been personally donating supplies for the last month and they brought a lot of stuff in for the children and students at Del Valle ISD,” United General Manager Richard Contreras said. “United and all of their 150 Austin employees wanted to make a difference for the school district.”

Del Valle ISD resumes classes on Aug. 28. For more information on school supplies, registration or more, check out www.DVISD.net.
