DEL VALLE, Texas — Del Valle ISD held a grand opening, ribbon cutting ceremony for the Athletic Facility on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Del Valle High School with elected officials in attendance.
The new 115,500 square foot Athletic Facility features a state-of-the-art weight room and an indoor practice 80-yard field.
“The new facility will help promote our athletic department’s mission of encouraging and inspiring our students in their pursuit of excellence,” said Del Valle ISD Athletic Director Tawni Angel. “With the continued support of the Del Valle ISD School Board, Superintendent Dr. Kelly Crook and the Del Valle community, we can ensure that we are providing the resources that foster our students’ quest for excellence for many years to come.”
Notable elected officials in attendance were Austin Mayor Steve Adler, Austin City Council Members Ora Houston and Sabino “Pio” Renteria, Travis County Justice of the Peace Raul A. Gonzalez, Travis County Commissioner Margaret J. Gómez, Del Valle School Board and more.
The building was designed by Stantec Architecture and the construction was completed by American Constructors.
