DEL VALLE, Texas — Del Valle ISD student-made community mural was unveiled in Easton Park’s newest property, Knob Hill, on Wednesday, May 2.

The community mural is part of a unique new playscape constructed from a refurbished trolley car recently relocated to Knob Hill neighborhood in Southeast Austin, located near the new Collins Elementary School.

“Del Valle ISD is honored to have students showcase their creativity through the new community mural,” said Edna Parra, enrichment Program Coordinator. “It is a testament to what students, teachers and staff do in the district.”

Those in attendance were Superintendent Dr. Kelly Crook, Board Vice President Ann Heuberger, Deputy Superintendent Annette Villerot, Enrichment Program Coordinator Edna Para and Principal of Newton Collins Elementary School Suzi Gonzales.  Others in attendance were representatives of Easton Park, Brookfield Residential and Creative Action.

Newton Collins Elementary School, Del Valle ISD’s newest elementary campus, is set to open in August 2018 and it is located in Easton Park.
