(DEL VALLE, Texas) The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees named Deputy Superintendent Dr. Annette Villerot Acting Superintendent effective June 19 and Interim Superintendent effective July 1 for the Del Valle Independent School District.

Prior to serving as the Deputy Superintendent in Del Valle, Dr. Villerot was Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in Pflugerville ISD, Comal ISD and Manor ISD.

“We are pleased that Dr. Villerot has accepted the position as interim and know her demonstrated leadership will be valuable as we move through this process,” said Board President Rebecca Birch. “We look forward to engaging the community to provide input through our national search process to find the best leader for Del Valle ISD.”

Earlier this month, Superintendent Dr. Kelly Crook tendered her resignation after serving in the position for eight years. The Del Valle Independent School District – www.DVISD.net – serves over 11,000 students on 15 campuses and works to do “Whatever It Takes” for students alongside their parents and the community.
