DEL VALLE, Texas — Two Del Valle ISD middle schools achieved a Mayor’s Health & Fitness Council exemplary rating, and these campuses are nominees for the Mayor’s Healthiest Schools award on Friday, Sept. 14, at Austin City Hall.
Dailey Middle School and Ojeda Middle School are the two schools representing Del Valle ISD. Other school districts attending are Austin ISD and Pflugerville ISD.
The Mayor’s Healthiest School award highlights schools that have implemented healthy changes to create school environments that support the health and well-being of students. Schools that demonstrate practices above the state and federal standards are eligible to earn an award. Awards are granted at the elementary and middle school levels.
Del Valle ISD’s Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kelly Crook and representatives from Dailey and Ojeda middle schools will be in attendance.
